LOVE VERSUS BROKENESS

By Rebecca Masina

What you have today it is what it is used to measure love in this century. Nowadays it is said that where there is no money there is no love. Mhmm how true is that? When you love shouldn’t that be because of the heart and not money? So does this mean all broke people do not deserve to be loved because of their financial status? Are we all born lucky and blessed? The answer to that is yes but we are all unique, which makes us lucky and blessed in different ways. Life needs to be balanced. We cannot be all financially stable.

What was love before money mattered? Why do we need money in relationships? Or maybe love is money. One should love regardless of money or employment. Most of the people say that dating someone who doesn’t have an income it is not easy and for them it is not acceptable as the partner will rely/depend on them with everything married or not.

While a small percentage of interviewed people say it is not a big deal as long the person remains true and faithful to them and can also keep them happy. All they want is their love and affection nothing beyond that. With all that then there’s no way that money will be a problem as long as they also try to do something with their lives not just sitting at home and expecting to be spoon fed every day. Love is everything then all the materials and money they are just a bonus to them.

What has this world come to? So a good relationship is defined by money these days. No money, no car, no house means one does not deserve to be loved. Not everyone will reach their dreams in time but only God decides when to bless us all. Poor people have to go around stealing money and cars in other to receive love from the ones they love and want to be with. What happens after the money, cars and flashy things have gone? Does the love also vanish and end along with the money/material?

Love is something precious and needs no extra ingredients to add on in order to be special. On its own it is special.
